Indivisible Forest Lake & Surrounding Area
WE THE PEOPLE Broadway Bridge Rally (September)
Barack Obama said, "If we want democracy to flourish, we will have to fight for it." Our democracy is under direct threat. Silence is no longer an option. Be courageous. Show up. Speak out. Resist.
Join host Indivisible Forest Lake & Surrounding Area for a ‘WE THE PEOPLE’ Bridge Rally on the Broadway Avenue Bridge over I-35 in Forest Lake!
SAFETY GUIDELINES:
A core principle behind our actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
This is a peaceful, respectful, and positive event.
Stay on the sidewalk at all times (public property).
Do not obstruct traffic - vehicle or pedestrian.
Do not engage in purposeful actions that distract drivers.
Inform and educate. Engage, don't enrage!
Our bridge events have been largely very positive. There will be negative gestures - just smile and wave.
Safety is paramount. The local police department is aware of the event and will be patrolling the area.
