You Work for Us, So Get back to Work! Labor Day #FortWayne
They’re on recess. We’re on the streets. While our elected officials kick back vacationing on private beaches, working people are holding it all together. This Labor Day, we’re showing up at congressional offices, in front of corporate HQs, and on sidewalks across the country to remind power: We built this country—and we won’t be ignored. This Labor Day, we’re not barbecuing. We’re organizing. ⚒️ The Backbone Shows Up From assembly lines to classrooms, gig apps to delivery routes, we are the engine. This economy, this government, this society—it runs because we do. So if Congress wants to coast, we’ll remind them: you work for us. So get to work. This Labor Day isn’t a break—it’s a reckoning. 🔥 We Stand For: Dismantling billionaire control over our government Defending entitlement programs and public assistance like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Public schools, public health. —they’re for the people, not profits Protecting our communities from supremacy— whether it wears a badge or a suit Investing in our country and it’s infrastructure… workers, care, and peace—not war Whether you’re union, non-union, a citizen or resident, disabled, a gig worker, or caregiver—you’re invited, you’re powerful, you have a voice and you’re needed. Labor is power! Thousands of communities, one voice. #SolidaritySeptember A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. We expect hosts to ensure all participants in your event uphold this commitment. We recommend all participants review our safety and security resource before your event: https://indivisi.org/safety
