This action will show them we will not be silent, and WE ARE WILLING TO EXPEND SOME ENERGY TO HAVE OUR MESSAGE HEARD! ✍️📃 BRING A LETTER (or a Poster to wave outside his building)! Whether it’s about pressuring him to hold a Public Town Hall, the disappearing and inhumane treatment of our fellow human beings by ICE, the ICE facility here in Folkston, GA or the new one in the Everglades, FL, DEMANDING ACTION against GUN VIOLENCE, banning elected officials from trading individual stocks- CORRUPTION, ending the HUMANITARIAN CRISIS in Gaza, impeaching RFK Jr., impeaching Pete Hegseth- Secretary of Defense, the president now calling the Epstein Files a Democrat Hoax, the Big Beautiful Bill funding cuts, PBS cuts, foreign policy, reproductive rights, education, or democracy — MAKE IT PERSONAL and POWERFUL. Please make sure to also INCLUDE your HOME ADDRESS. 📧If you are unable to attend, you can also email us your letter and/or send it via https://clyde.house.gov/contact/ (Note: You will need your zip code with your +4 digit extension.) 🗣 📢Let’s show up, speak out, and inundate his office with our demands for REAL representation. Everyone is welcome. Bring friends, family, your convictions, your letters and your posters. We will go into his office, sign the visitor log, chat with the staffers, or just protest outside his office. He should be IN DISTRICT because they are on recess, but he has not responded to my requests for a meeting as of yet. Need help writing to your elected official? Tips on writing to your elected official from the ACLU: https://www.aclu.org/writing-your-elected-representatives There is POWER in NUMBERS because the POWER OF THE PEOPLE is greater than the people in power! Together, we can fight💪 for our democracy! We must BE QUIET in the office building as there are other businesses in the building. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
