CJC, JVP, IRTF and CPAC are hosting our third annual Mimouna celebration. Join us for a day of joy, multicultural connection, and solidarity! This will be a day of camaraderie and community care to nourish ourselves and the movement for the long haul. All are welcome! Come and go as you please! You’re welcome to just hang out, or to enjoy any of the activities we’ll be offering: 🗓️ Sunday, April 19th 📍 Garfield Park Program Center, Garfield Heights 🥙 10:30 Brunch from La Villa (Palestinian owned business) 🌳 11:30 Sumud Sunday (discussion of solidarity & the more-than-human-world) 🎶 12:30 Liberation Band (Palestinian folk & liberation songs) PLEASE RSVP for brunch BY April 11th so we have enough food! LINK IN CJC’S BIO We’ll have crafts and outdoor toys. Feel free to bring your own! You can also enjoy the park by going on a walk, kayaking, etc. Feel free to hang out & enjoy the park for as long as you like! 🏓 BYO crafts (knitting, tatreez, etc.) and outdoor toys if you want ⛱️ BYO water, chairs, and blankets if you can Mimouna is a North African Jewish holiday at the end of Passover, when Jews return to eating leavened foods. It has often been celebrated in an interfaith context, with Muslims and Jews breaking bread together at a festive meal.
