Callout for Court Support starting 23rd March for the Nakba Day arrestees! 🇵🇸 Starting on Mon 23rd March four arrestees from the 2024 Nakba Day picket outside Thales will be on trial with a jury. Come down to Glasgow Sheriff Court to support the arrestees. Protesting genocide is not a crime! Check back in with this account each day for updates on the progress of the court days. Through its contract with Elbit, Thales is responsible for supplying parts for Watchkeeper drones used in the Zionist genocide in Gaza. 🇵🇸What is Nakba Day?🇵🇸 Nakba Day is the annual day of commemoration for the Nakba. The Nakba is the ethnic cleansing and expulsion of most of the Indigenous people of Palestine and the destruction of Palestinian settlements to create Israel as a settler colony premised on Jewish supremacy and apartheid. The Nakba did not end in 1948, it is ongoing. Come from 9:30am, we’ll have hot drinks and snacks. Wear a keffiyeh, bring a flag! 🇵🇸
