No Kings
No Kings Protest Great Barrington, MA
Take to the streets on Oct 18 to tell Trump: NO KINGS IN AMERICA
In June, millions of us participated in the first No Kings day of protest. It was one of the largest days of protest in U.S. history. Millions turned out in thousands of towns and cities across the country. We showed Trump that his authoritarian power grab won’t go unanswered. And at a time when so many feel hopeless, we reminded them that there are millions of us banding together to save our democracy.
But Trump and his GOP loyalists didn’t get the message that we live in a constitutional democracy, not a monarchy. Trump has doubled down: turning the country into a police state, taking away healthcare and workers’ rights, defunding public schools, attacking your freedom to vote and defying Congress and courts at every turn.
So we’re taking to the streets again on Saturday, October 18 for another nationwide No Kings day of protest. In Great Barrington, MA South County Resistance will be gathering in front of Town Hall. Please join us so we can make this our biggest protest yet!
Your presence makes a difference. It sends a signal to Trump, his MAGA cronies and all elected officials – including those who are with us – that our peaceful movement to oppose Trump’s authoritarian regime is only getting bigger and stronger AND WE’RE NOT GOING AWAY!
In America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against Trump’s lawlessness, chaos, corruption and cruelty. Don’t despair. Get energized and turn your anger into action!
A core principle guiding all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We seek to de-escalate potential confrontation and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, even if legally permitted, should be left at home.
