The U.S. Empire bombed Caracas, abducted Venezuelan President Maduro, and killed 90 Venezuelans and Cubans. A shock and awe tactic to coerce Venezuela into giving up control of its oil exports and into unfair financial deals. Cuba was receiving the vast majority of its oil from Venezuela and now faces an energy and economic crisis. They are enduring rolling blackouts as the majority of their electricity is generated by fuel oil plants. There is no fuel for jets and thus no tourist industry. This is a cruel escalation of the decades long embargo on the island nation. As one boot of the empire is on the necks of the Cuban and Venezuelan peoples, the other boot terrorizes our communities in the form of ICE. We are all oppressed by the same Empire. We as members of the greater community of the Americas must stand in solidarity with Cuba and Venezuela.
