NO KINGS III - Greenfield MA

Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution

Join us! 12:00 Noon, Beacon Field We'll then march to the Greenfield Common. Rally at 1:00, on the Greenfield Common Big protests matter. From emancipation to women’s suffrage, from civil rights to the sit-down strikes, mass movements have shaped the arc of American history. There are many reasons to be in the streets in large numbers now. Here are three: - Gigantic actions like No Kings impact us! We are then more likely to take part in economic resistance, mutual aid and other actions. Research shows that protests foster lifelong civic engagement. - They impact politicians! They see that they will have support if they oppose the regime, and will lose support if they don’t. - They impact the population as a whole! People see on TV or on social media that their neighbors, their congregations and their co-workers are taking a public stand. And don’t let anyone tell you otherwise – street protests drove ICE out of Minneapolis! Co-sponsors as of this posting: FCCPR, Indivisible Montague
