Pyjama party for night trains
On Friday, 12th of December 2025, in Copenhagen, Malmö, Stockholm and Helsinki, people will celebrate an international pyjama party for night trains!
Train connectivity is crucial for connecting some Nordic territories to Central Europe. Night trains like the EN345/346 connecting Stockholm, Malmö and Copenhagen to Hamburg/Berlin has now been at risk of being suppressed, while all night trains from Gothenburg have already been dismissed.
Newly proposed night trains such as the Malmö to Basel, which is supposed to start running in spring 2026, are now struggling to receive necessary subsidies, all while the aviation industry keeps ramping.
Together, people in over 10 different cities are opposing this and are partying for more, better and affordable night trains – the most environmentally and socially just way to travel long distances, connecting people and places through slower, more intentional mobility.
Show up at one of these train stations:
- Copenhagen C @ 19:00 CET
- Malmö C @ 19:00 CET
- Stockholm C @ 16:45 CET
- Helsinki @ 19:00 EET (18:00 CET)
Bring:
- Smartphone fully charged
- Headphones
- Pyjamas and a sleeping eye mask, a pillow, or a stuffed toy
All aboard... the night train! 🚂
