Ice Out of Long Island
🚨 THIS SATURDAY!
Trump’s intensifying war on immigrants has ripped apart families and devastated communities all across the country. Join us in taking a stand and demanding: ICE out of Long Island!
Nassau County’s Police and Sheriff’s Departments have entered into a 287g Agreement, whereby local law enforcement is illegally deputized to act as ICE agents. NCPD has also been collaborating with ICE by holding their detainees at Nassau County Jail, and collecting federal subsidies for each person held. It was at this very jail where Santos Banegas Reyes passed away on September 18, 2025, with the family still demanding answers and accountability for his death.
Nassau County’s Executive, Bruce Blakeman, boldly claims this collaboration with ICE is in the name of public safety, and that Nassau County is one of the safest counties in America. But safe for who? Who feels safe in an atmosphere of terror and racial discrimination? How are our communities kept safe when people are being racially profiled, parents are kidnapped outside of their children’s schools, and ICE patrols our streets on a daily basis?
We on Long Island are coming together to say NO MORE to this cruelty. We refuse to stand by while our neighbors are kidnapped from schools, hospitals, workplaces, and street corners. We demand Nassau County end its 287g agreement. We demand Nassau County end its collaboration with ICE in being a detention center. Stop the Racist Assault on Immigrant Communities! No to the legalization of ICE racial profiling! Fund people’s needs, not ICE agencies! And finally, we demand: stop ICE raids and ICE out of Long Island!
Join us on Saturday, October 11 at 11:00AM at the Hempstead Bus Terminal to make our demands clear! Today it is immigrants but tomorrow these attacks come for all of us! Now is the time for action, now is the time for organization, now is the time for us to break through the fear! Solo el Pueblo Salva al Pueblo!
