Pete Stauber: Support the Constitution, not Authoritarianism!

December 6th is the 160th Anniversary of the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment abolishing slavery. Let's celebrate it with a rally at Rep. Pete Stauber's office calling on him AGAIN to do his job: to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and to put the interests of the people of the 8th District first. There's still time for him to repudiate his actions which have harmed our families, our farmers, our educational institutions, our children, our health system, our environment, and our international leadership in global alliances. That list could go on. Signs of rising authoritarianism and fascism are everywhere: troops on the streets, altering electoral maps, threatening judges and the media, appointing lackeys to leadership, suppressing the vote, ignoring due process, pardoning criminals, sending masked ICE agents to terrorize our neighborhoods, ordering the Navy to kill people on the high seas, cozying up with other autocrats, disappearing people with secret deportations, and on and on. Even though corruption and lawlessness is being normalized, we still must say NO! And we must do so non-violently. Join us on December 6th from 2 to 3 pm at 5094 Miller Trunk Highway. We must not be silent. Bring your signs of solidarity, your signs against fascism, your signs for No Kings! We will not give up.
