🚨 We Cannot Stay Silent! 🚨 What is happening in Houston is unacceptable. After weeks of community organizing and collective action, we successfully passed an ordinance that protects our families. This ordinance: 🔹 Prevents police from detaining someone for up to 30 minutes just to wait for ICE to arrive. 🔹 Requires greater transparency on when and how police interact with ICE. This is a step toward a more just city. But now, Governor Greg Abbott is threatening to take away $110 million from Houston if the city does not back down. ❌ This is not fair. ❌ This is not right. ❌ And we will not stay silent.
