Melt the ICE Day of Action

Cat Ladies for America

You can register or just show up! Join us to stand with Minneapolis in their fight against ICE. Illegal Immigration is a Civil not a Criminal offense, yet instead of releasing people to await their day in immigration court, ICE has been indefinitely detaining individuals. These are community members and established families, and despite claims that criminals are being arrested, 58% of people ICE arrested have had no criminal records. Further more, local leaders have found that the most offenses are for small fractures like a broken tail light or minor traffic offenses. We have seen community members afraid to go to court or contact the police for any matter, causing local crime rates to rise and go underreported. We chose to stand up for our neighbors and friends. The building we will be protesting at is a DOJ detention facility and courthouse that has been reported to have held ICE detainees. We call for transparency and for the city to end any and all collaboration with ICE.
