This Thursday, unelected superintendent Mike Miles and his board of managers will vote on a proposal to close 12 schools that primarily serve poor and working class Black and Brown students. Miles announced this proposal just 2 weeks ago, leaving families little time to make decisions that will have serious impact on their children’s lives. We’re calling on all people who believe that public education belongs in the hands of the people to join us at the board meeting to say loud and clear: NO RACIST SCHOOL CLOSURES!
