Urgent Call to Action from Concerned Citizens of Huntington!
Citizens of the Town of Huntington and their supporters are rallying this Tuesday, November 18th, to urge the Town Board to take prompt and decisive action in light of recent developments regarding the November 4th election.
Background: A group of individuals, some with connections to the Town, registered deceptively as members of the Working Families Party. They organized efforts to collect, witness, and submit signatures to the Suffolk Board of Elections on behalf of a slate of questionable candidates, leading to a primary that displaced the Party's endorsed candidates from the ballot.* This maneuver may have significantly influenced the election's outcome. Although this tactic is technically legal, it is fundamentally unethical and misleading, aimed at deceiving the general electorate.
As investigations progress, community members are rallying to demand accountability from Town officials, who have denied any wrongdoing. They are calling for the Town to immediately cut ties with any employees linked to these unethical actions, ensuring taxpayer dollars are not rewarding such behavior.
Huntington deserves better! Please join the concerned citizens of Huntington this Tuesday to voice your support. Residents are encouraged to attend the Town Board meeting at 6pm and to remember to engage peacefully and respectfully during all interactions.
Rally Reminder: You are encouraged to bring small flashlights and wear reflective clothing, as the event will begin after sundown.
