The federal government has shut down because the Trump administration and their allies in Congress chose chaos and pain over responsible governing. Since Day One, the Trump administration’s Project 2025/DOGE agenda has targeted our health care and the federal workers who keep our essential government services running. Now, countless jobs for federal workers, the services we all rely on, and the economy are in jeopardy—all because the administration wants to take one more swing at wrecking the Affordable Care Act. Every day this Trump shutdown and federal worker lockout drags on, workers and their families are forced to make impossible choices. We’re organizing to make our message heard: Fund the government. Fix the health care crisis. Put working people first. We will stand with our AFGE 3343 family to show the cowards in Washington, D.C that we won't back down! It is only fitting that we rally in Hyde Park, home of the FDR Presidential Library and the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site.
