Citrus Solidarity International Women's Day Protest and Women's Donation Drive! This a local Indivisible event! This International Women's Day, Citrus County, FL will stand up to protest in Solidarity for women across the globe. We remember those who fought for our rights and hold space for the ongoing struggle that we fight everyday. This protest holds intersectionality at the forefront as we recognize our privileges in being able to protest without pushback and we will continue to use it to stand up for those who have had their rights taken away. We are also having a donation drive for our local women's shelter. The shelter is CASA, a center for the abused in citrus county. All donations are appreciated, but for more details, please go to the CASA website, where they have an updated list of their most needed items. We will be protesting at the Old Courthouse in Inverness FL, from 11-1 on Sunday, March 8th. We hope to see you there. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
