Join Indivisible Joplin for our Black(out) Friday: People Over Profits Protest & Donation Drive When: Friday, November 28th from 8 - 10 am Where: Corner of 7th & Rangeline (Meet in the old Big Lots parking lot, but please don't park in front of Natural Grocers!) This year, we won’t fund billionaires. Join us in an economic boycott of large corporations on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. We demand prioritizing people over profits. Stand with us in protest on Black Friday. Billionaires may not care about us, but we care about each other. We’ll be collecting donations for Food Not Bombs Joplin, who will distribute items to community members in need. Please bring non-perishable food & new/gently used winter gear. Items to donate could include: food such as canned goods, pasta and sauce, rice, or nonperishable healthy snacks winter gear such as coats, hats, gloves, blankets, boots A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
