We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings. What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever. When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence. For NO KINGS 1, our Lakewood group had some less-than-mobile residents in our 55+ community who sincerely wanted to attend, but concerns of all the parking, walking, and even just standing for hours was daunting. So, we turned a Senior Moment into a Senior Movement. We decided they could SIT DOWN and still STAND UP for what we believed. Our NO KINGS 2 rally blossomed and Lakewood became a place for old, young and everyone in between to express their resistance, with approximately 400 people along the East and West sides of Route 70. Looking across the highway and seeing an overflow crowd, with someone dressed as The Statue of Liberty--her torch flying in the air--was a sight to behold! We lined the road all the way from our gate up to a quarter mile away. It was awesome. Our NO KINGS 3 rally is scheduled for Saturday, March 28th at noon, and once again Lakewood is excited to join the spate of rallies taking place across the nation. Our goal is to make NO KINGS 3 reach all the way to the Garden State Parkway, to symbolically connect with the Toms River rally being held at Exit 82. Join us, and bring some friends to help make that happen! On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. *BRING: CHAIRS, if standing might be an issue. SIGNS. Express yourself. Most of all, YOUR ENTHUSIASM! YELLOW is the color of the day--so wear it, if it suits you. A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
