Stop Pillage Counter Summit

Students For Palestine Zürich

On the weekend of April 17–19, Stop Pillage will take place at Pôle Sud in Lausanne: a counter-summit against extractivism and imperialism. Each year, the Financial Times Commodities Global Summit convenes the CEOs of major trading companies in Lausanne. Stop Pillage is a condemnation of this summit, denouncing the imperialist policies upheld by Switzerland’s conglomerates and the systems of extraction they sustain. The counter-summit brings together talks, discussions, and collective reflection on topics ranging from US imperialism in Venezuela to food sovereignty and techno-fascism, among others. Throughout the weekend, an exhibition at Pôle Sud will trace how networks of complicity with the genocidal zionist entity materialize within Switzerland. For the “Universities” section, we are honored to contribute an adaptation of our research findings on the entanglements between Swiss academia and the zionist entity. Students for Palestine Zurich will also be present on Saturday and Sunday with an info stand. So come learn more about the Zurich Declaration of Conscientious Objection or buy some merch (tshirts, hoodies, kuffiyehs and posters). ✊🏽🇱🇧 All proceeds will go to @tanseqeye_shaabeye_lebanon, a grassroots organization that supports the steadfastness of the displaced people in Lebanon!
