No Kings
NO KINGS Lenoir, NC
In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings.
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
Join us for a sidewalk Honk and Wave Rally from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the large intersection of US 321 and NC 18. Based on safety at this busy intersection, the recommendation is to assemble and park in one of the following three locations that don't require crossing traffic:
1) Assemble on the sidewalk in front of DairyO with your signs. This location is best for people coming from Avery, Burke and Watauga Counties. Please park in the YokeFellow Parking Area located at 202 Harper Ave, Lenoir, NC 28645. From there you will walk across the bridge to the sidewalks in front of DairyO. This walk is short but not handicapped accessible. There is also parking available at a bank that is closed on Saturdays at 115 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir, NC next to DairyO.
2) Assemble on the sidewalk in front of Chick-fil-a with your signs. This location has the best handicap parking and the shortest walk to the sidewalk. It is recommended for participants coming from Catawba and Wilkes Counties. We recommend parking at the strip mall parking lot that serves Chick-fil-a and Harbor Freight located at 116 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645.
3) Assemble on the sidewalk at Burger King, 102 Blowing Rock Blvd, Lenoir, NC. Please park at Telco Credit Union at 141 Wilkesboro Blvd NE, Lenoir, NC 28645.
Of course, participants are free to park wherever works for them.
Please be respectful of the business establishments and do not park in their customer area.
The intersection has four grass triangles inside the intersection that are accessible by crossing one traffic turning lane. The Lenoir Police do not recommend this. No permanent signs are allowed.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events. NC law prohibits concealed carry at protests.
