Palestinian Film Screening

🇵🇸🎥 Join the youth of Liverpool on Monday 17th November for a special Palestinian film screening at the Quarry, 45 Hardman Street from 6:30pm. 🎬 Showcasing two pieces of work, a short film ‘Ismail’ and the student led film ‘Permission to Narrate’. Inspired by a day in the life of Palestinian painter Ismail Shammout, ‘Ismail’ tells the story of a young man struggling to support his parents after their expulsion to a Refugee camp in 1948 by the Israeli forces. ‘Permission to Narrate’ is a film produced by the students of Birzeit University, which discusses the difficulties surrounding education in an occupied land and what this means for the Palestinian youth. Both films promote ideas of resilience, strength and the importance of education for all. There will be discussions and talk panels surrounding these films once they are showcased. Please join us for a special evening, to gain more knowledge, connect with the community and help promote an important message. * Both films, 'Ismail' and 'Permission to Narrate', are child-friendly. 🕑 6:30 pm 🗓 Monday, Nov 17th 📍Quarry 45 Hardman St, L1 9AS (Liverpool) 🎟Booking tickets is essential: https://buytickets.at/youthfrontforpalestine1/1947689 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 #liverpool #freepalestine #filmscreening #palestine
