MOBILISE for the FILTON 24 and their right to a fair trial. 13th October - Woolwich Crown Court On October 13th, the lawyers of the Filton24 will be holding the British Government to account for prejudicing the upcoming trial of 24 pro-Palestine activists. Parliamentary ministers, including the Prime Minister himself, have repeatedly spoken on live TV about the evidence in the case, manipulating the facts to smear the Filton24 as terrorists for allegedly disrupting the flow of arms to Israel. This unlawful breach of due process has intentionally set the defendants up, leaving it impossible for them to receive a fair trial. The case is the heart of the proscription battle in Britain; the state has attempted to use the Filton24 to justify the proscription of Palestine Action in order to continue their profiteering from genocide. The ban has led to mass arrests of thousands of activists across Britain. Should the trial go ahead it will be a breach of every citizen’s rights. We call on all supporters to mobilise outside Woolwich Crown Court from 9.30am to reinforce the struggle and bear witness, as the lawyers of the Filton24 submit an abuse of process argument against the crown.
