Paul Golding, their leader, is a former BNP councillor, and a convicted criminal. Their co-leader is Ashley Simon, organiser of anti-refugee hate protests outside hotels in Altrincham, Manchester, and Stockport. Britain First supporters have attacked protesters on the Climate Justice march. They have helped fund the ‘union flags’ flown to intimidate and threaten people. Britain First demand that ‘over 10 million foreigners’ should be ‘deported from the country’. Greater Manchester has a long history of opposing threats from fascists and Nazis groups.
