All out this Saturday 11th April in Manchester, meeting at St Ann’s Square, 12pm! 🇵🇸 Israel continues to do as it does best; bombard, destroy and slaughter. The decimation in Occupied Palestine, Lebanon and Iran rages on, as Israel riddles them with indiscriminate military decimation. Earlier today, over a dozen Palestinians in Gaza were killed by Israel in yet further airstrikes, adding to the list of over 72,000 documented martyrs since the onset of the genocide in October 2023. The brutality committed by Israel in the West Bank would be unfathomable were it not live-streamed before our very eyes. Land theft is at an all time high, including in Masafer Yatta, a collection of 18 Palestinian communities in South Hebron, where Palestinians resist the theft of their land and demolition of their homes by Israel. In Lebanon, at least 15 people were murdered by Israel earlier today, the death toll rising to over 1,450 people, and in Iran, the US and Israel intensify their joint attacks, with at least 34 people killed just a few hours ago in the bombing of Sharif University of Technology in Tehran. The preservation of colonialist and imperialist interests in West Asia not only ensured the creation of Israel, but that Israel has always had the arms, funding and support needed to inflict widespread suffering such as the above. Israel’s repetition of tactics in Lebanon and Iran that it has used in Gaza, supported by the US and Britain, is a stark reminder that these powers will commit every atrocity necessary to maintain control over the region. Nevertheless, steadfast remains the resistance within Palestine, Iran and Lebanon. We must channel this spirit within our own mobilisation in Britain. Now is the time to crystallise our demands and be relentless as we do. We must boycott and pressure complicit corporations to divest from Israel, and we must fight for a full arms embargo on Israel. We must do all we can to sever all ties between Britain and Israel. Above all, we must demand this world be eternally free from the settler-colony of Israel.
