Given the robust nature of human and civil rights abuses happening nationally, and the known abuses happening at the Massena Border Patrol Station, we are calling the people of the North Country to take action in peaceful protest. we will be gathering at the entrance to the border patrol station on Trippany road in Massena, bringing awareness to the abuses happening under the Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, and Customs & Border Patrol. We have identified the CBP practice of moving detainees between Burke CBP Station in Malone and the Massena CBP Station. Any detainees being held in the Massena CBP Station will be moved to the Burke CBP Station sometime on 2/28/26. it is our intent to bring attention to the practices of CBP in the North Country, to boost detainee morale with our voices, and to be a witness to the atrocities taking place against communities in our area. It is our moral imperative to take action opposing the abuses happening through DHS, CBP, & ICE, not a political one, so we invite local communities to join us, whether through collaboration or simply participation and attendance. We the People of the North Country will not quietly allow fascism to happen in our communities.
