Join Milwaukee Anti-war Committee and Code Pink at 2 pm on Saturday, November 22nd at Milwaukee City Hall Plaza (200 E. Wells St.) to demand U.S. Hands off of Venezuela and No Troops on our Streets as part of a national week of action. Since early September, the US military has illegally attacked more than 19 boats in the Pacific and killed more than 80 people. While the Trump administration claims that these air strikes are to stop drug trafficking in the Pacific and Caribbean Sea, we know that there is not only no evidence, but that these attacks are part of an ongoing history of the U.S. trying to dominate Venezuela for it’s oil and gold. At the same time, federal troops and ICE agents are being deployed across the US to carry out mass arrests and deportations. We must take to the streets to resist attacks on people in Venezuela and Columbia and the escalated repression and militarization of people in the U.S. U.S. Hands off Venezuela!!
