Student Led Day of Action

MSOE YDSA

Today, we sent an open letter to MSOE President Dr. Baumgartner, laying out a list of actions the university must take to protect students from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) presence on campus. This includes a commitment to remove ICE and the Department of Homeland Security from 310 E Knapp Street, the current field office for Enforcement and Removal Operations, which MSOE currently owns and leases out. Read our full letter at the link in bio. Over thirty unions, organizations, elected officials, and MSOE staff co-signed this letter, showing the disconnect between the concerns on the community and the actions of the university’s administration. We hope to meet with Dr. Baumgartner and all professors interested to discuss these necessary actions in the coming weeks. What can you do now? 🌹 Email Dr. Baumgartner and bring our letter to his attention! Use the link in bio to send an email in only a few clicks. 🌹 Attend the student led day of action at 10AM on April 24th in Cathedral Square Park.
