2nd Annual Day of Empathy

Wrongfully incarcerated and over-sentenced families council-MN

๐Ÿ’› 2nd Annual Day of Empathy ๐Ÿ’› Because every prison number belongs to a human being-a parent, a child, a loved one, a whole family. This day is about listening deeply and holding space for voices too often ignored. ๐Ÿ“ž Impacted people calling in directly from prison ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Men whoโ€™ve been released sharing their lived truth ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Families of the incarcerated speaking from the heart ๐Ÿค Community resources tabling and sharing support ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ A community meal, because care looks like nourishment too ๐Ÿ–ค Make this one of the many events you attend for Black History Month. Mass incarceration is our history too, a continuation of systems that have criminalized, caged, and separated Black families for generations. Honoring Black history means confronting this truth and showing up for those still living it. No sound bites. No filters. Just real stories, real harm, and real humanity. We gather to witness. We gather to honor survival. We gather to remind each other that none of us heal alone. โœจ A peaceful, community-centered space rooted in empathy, dignity, and accountability. โœจ Come as you are. Bring your people. Bring your love. ๐Ÿ–คโœŠ๐Ÿฝ Empathy is action. Empathy is justice. #blm #2ndAnnualDayOfEmpathy #BlackHistoryMonth #MassIncarcerationIsOurHistory #VoicesFromInside
