NO KINGS Monroe
No Kings
We have the power and are claiming it together. No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings.
What began in 2025 as a single day of defiance has become a sustained national resistance to tyranny, spreading from small towns to city centers and across every community determined to defend democracy. Our peaceful movement is bigger than ever.
When our families are under attack and costs are pushing people to the brink, silence is not an option. We will defend ourselves and our communities against this administration’s unjust and cruel acts of violence.
On March 28th, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones, no crowns, no kings. We’re not watching history happen—we’re making it. Join us.
A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.
Parking Information
There is no dedicated parking for this event but there are plenty of parking lots nearby. Please follow all posted signs regarding parking when you arrive. Please try to avoid parking in the lot of Mi Tierra // Benjarong Thai Restaurant if you can help it.
Safety Information
If you need assistance, please find one of the event marshals in high vis vests. Sky Valley Indivisible marshals will be wearing pink vests and Sky Valley Democrats will be wearing yellow vests.
We will also have a first aid station on the north west corner of the intersection in case you can't find a marshal.
Be mindful of where you're standing on the sidewalk and avoid blocking entrances to local businesses. We also ask you not stand on the islands of the crosswalks.
Monroe PD will have a patrol keeping tabs on things and helping keep us safe. They have, and will continue to, pull over vehicles that coal roll or cause other disruptions. If you are able to safely take footage or video of a vehicle causing issues you can submit that to Monroe PD after the event.
Remember, Our number one priority is your safety during this event.
Lastly
Remember to have fun! Bring creative signs! Invite your friends and family!
While our main priority is your safety, we also prioritize hosting a fun event.
