RALLY OUTSIDE OF MT. HOLLY SPRINGS BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING TO PROTEST ICE/POLICE AGREEMENT MHS Borough Council has directed Police Chief Tom Day to begin the process of enrolling four officers into a Department of Homeland Security task-force program which deputizes local officers, while patrolling the communities they are sworn to protect, to question, detain, and arrest individuals they suspect of violating civil immigration laws. PROTEST THE ICE/POLICE PROPOSED AGREEMENT IN MT. HOLLY SPRINGS! ICE IS A DANGER TO PUBLIC HEALTH AND HUMAN BEINGS. WE DON'T WANT AN ICE POLICE FORCE IN MT. HOLLY SPRINGS. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
