From Santa Clara to Redwood City: Historic 17x17k Rally on El Camino Real

Indivisible

DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY AND SAY NO TO FASCISM. On June 14, we made history with a 7 mile, 20,000 person single line of protesters on El Camino! We said no kings, no fascism, no turning back on our civil liberties, no attacks on our community! We made it loud and clear, in a joyous, community building event that brought hope and connection to our cities. We are back to do it again, expanding our rally to 17 miles of El Camino, from Santa Clara to Redwood City, along the south side once again. We will be in Redwood City, Atherton, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and Santa Clara! Please note, mobilize requires us to select one location, which is not representative of the actual locations! Do not go to the location on the map on this link. To find a place to stand, you must sign yourself up for a segment, at signup.com: https://tinyurl.com/17x17ksegmentsignup. We cannot assign a spot for you, we really need you register yourself on this other site to get accurate counts. Google map of the segments: https://tinyurl.com/17x17kmap PLEASE NOTE this is the same event as this MayDay event, which we found does not always show up when people search on mobilize: https://www.mobilize.us/mayday/event/815494/. To minimize complexity between multiple listings, and ensure we have good coverage, we really need you to sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/17x17ksegmentsignup, on signup.com. thank you! We encourage people to bring chairs to sit, lots of water, food, sunscreen, and anything else needed for your comfort. Chairs are very helpful to encourage your comfort. We also hope you can support local businesses near where you stand. We strongly encourage American flags to show our solidarity for our country! This event is brought to you by the experienced team of IdaRose Sylvester & Sally Lieber, representing Together We Will, along with Mountain View Voices for Peace, Indivisible Mid-Peninsula, It's Blue's Turn, DAWN, IPA+, Sunnyvale Democratic Club, Menlo Park Speaks Out, Afro Uprising, San Mateo County Democratic Dems, and other partners that will be announced! You can see photos and videos of our 7x7k rally here https://tinyurl.com/7x7photos. Learn more about and stay involved in our work, under the Together We Will banner, www.facebook.com/groups/twwpamv or sign up on our low volume email list at https://tinyurl.com/twwpamvsignup. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
