Carnival is upon us, and as we’ve done for the past two years, NOLA Musicians for Palestine invites everyone to hit the streets, not to forget about the world, but to engage and recommit to the fight for liberation! This year not only do we want to continue to highlight the Palestinian freedom struggle, but we’re calling in all individuals and organizations working for collective liberation to tell us what that future looks like to you. As our cities continue to face occupation and brutalization by ICE, the same forces trained by the IOF, we want to use this Carnival season to strengthen our solidarity with our immigrant friends and neighbors, to imagine a future without fences and cages, and envision a world where all of us fit, from New Orleans to Palestine.
