PASCO RESIST’S “CONSTITUTION CARAVAN”

PASCO RESIST’S “CONSTITUTION CARAVAN” This Friday, August 15th at Spartan Manor in New Port Richey, the Republican Party of Pasco County—and notably Congressman Gus Bilirakis—will be hosting and celebrating Roger Stone, a political operative widely condemned for working with repressive regimes, associating with violent extremists, undermining elections, and using smear tactics that have damaged democratic institutions for personal and political gain. While we’ve long questioned the values of the Republican Party of Pasco County and Congressman Bilirakis, their public embrace of Stone’s record speaks volumes and demands a visible, peaceful response. Our Response: Pasco Resists will hold a Caravan-Only protest to deliver a clear message while keeping participants safe. • Staging Area: Aldi’s Parking Lot – 6400 Massachusetts Ave, New Port Richey, FL 34653 (which is just a couple of blocks away from the venue) • Meet Time: 4:00 PM • Caravan: 4:30–6:30 PM • Instructions will be given upon arrival. Important Safety Notice: This is the only event we are organizing. We are not organizing an on-foot protest for several reasons: the surrounding area lacks adequate sidewalks; Spartan Manor is surrounded by homes and there are numerous businesses along Massachusetts Ave. that are known to attract people who may pose possible safety issues. We are not telling you to not protest outside the venue. What we are saying is that if you do, please go into it with the knowledge that Pasco Resists will not be participating, we are not providing security and we are not responsible for anyone who does. Please take our word for it that we have thought this through thoroughly and invite you to join our Constitution Caravan.
