This a local Indivisible event! Join us as we gather to show appreciation and solidarity with our local government workers affected by the shutdown. They keep our communities running every day, and this is our moment to stand with them. Bring your signs, your voices, your neighbors, and your gratitude. Here are a few of the departments impacted: FAA staff - TSA staff - National Park Service staff - Environmental Protection Agency staff - Department of Education employees -IRS customer service and processing staff. We’ll also be hosting a local food drive for Five Loaves Food Shelf in New Richmond, to help support families. If you’re able, please bring non-perishable items such as canned proteins, rice, pasta, peanut butter, and hygiene products. Every contribution, big or small, helps someone right here in our community. A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
