The climate movement is teaming up with faith leaders to defend New York’s landmark climate law from Governor Hochul's horrible attacks. As our friends at GreenFaith say, let's "Create a Beautiful World with Energy From Heaven" As the state budget process drags on, Governor Hochul is ramping up pressure on Assembly members and Senators to weaken our climate commitments and bail out the fossil fuel industry — at the expense of clean, affordable energy for New Yorkers. We can't afford to go backwards. Our climate law was hard-won, and it represents a promise: to lower costs, protect our health, and build a livable future. Any rollback is a betrayal of that promise. Legislators will join us at the rally to say that they are holding the line, staying strong, staying loud. And that they stand with the people — not polluters. We say no changes to our climate law, no compromise with our future. It's time to show up, speak out, and make it clear that New Yorkers are watching, and we’re not backing down.
