The People’s Forum
Hidden Histories of Rebellion in the United States
📰‼️ OUT NOW: Check out the class schedule for Hidden Histories of Rebellion in the United States!
Together, we’ll explore pivotal but often overlooked struggles for justice in U.S. history. From Black–Indigenous alliances against slavery and the Southern Underground Railroad, to the 1877 railroad strike, GI resistance during the Vietnam War, women’s prison rebellions, and modern-day uprisings, each session uncovers a chapter of people-powered resistance erased or marginalized in mainstream history.
As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, these seminars invite us to study our shared histories of rebellion and resistance. By confronting myths and historical distortions, especially those used to divide working people, we aim to better understand the past in order to organize for the future.
ℹ️ 8-part seminar series (each session can be attended on its own)
