Starting at 3:45 PM, we’ll be collecting clothing, hygiene products, masks, and other essentials for our unhoused friends & neighbors. The donation drive continues alongside food sharing, a live performance, and a classic Hong Kong film under the stars. About FOAF Friend of a Friend is a NYC volunteer-run mutual aid group serving unhoused friends & neighbors in Chinatown every Tuesday and Sunday. Event Program • 3:45 PM – FOAF community food distribution + donation collection begins • 5:00 PM – Phoenix Dance Group performance (led by FOAF member Linda) • 6:00 PM – Snacks and community gathering, with donation collection continuing • 7:00 PM – Screening of Peking Opera Blues (1986, with English & Spanish subtitles), a genre expansive slapstick action-comedy about Republican-era revolutionaries and three women who get swept into a plot to expose a corrupt general suspected of facilitating foreign loans to restore the monarchy.
