NYC: PALESTINIAN PRISONERS’ DAY MARCH
🗓️ Saturday, April 18th | ⏱️ 4:30 PM
📍Herald Square
Since 1974, Palestinians have chosen April 17th to commemorate our prisoners and their struggle. Our prisoners are the compass of our movement. On Prisoners Day, we march to honor those enduring the cruelty of the colonial Zionist entity, whose tireless courage and steadfastness remind us that Zionist prisons cannot contain the fight for their freedom or the national liberation of Palestine.
More than a week ago, on March 30, the Israeli Knesset passed the “Prisoner Execution Law,” legalizing death by hanging, a measure that, in practice, would target only Palestinians. This bill comes amid the settler-colonial Zionist entity’s ongoing efforts to dispossess Palestinians from their land and escalate their barbaric assaults, from the genocide in Gaza to the relentless attacks on our prisoners.
Routinely, Palestinian prisoners in Zionist dungeons confront systematic abuse, including torture, starvation, and medical neglect. Thousands are held under administrative detention without charge or trial. These dungeons are sites of dehumanization, where the occupier seeks to break the will of the people and erase resistance through fear and punishment.
It is our duty to stand with our prisoners! Join us in the streets in New York City to assert the right for our prisoners to live free and dignified.
May every prisoner be free and may the Zionist jails crumble.
