THIS IS WHAT FREE SPEECH LOOKS LIKE & THIS IS HOW WE PROTECT IT! Peaceful protest is our right and responsibility as Americans. Overpass rallies are a super way to reach a good cross-section of the public ... and it's invigorating! Join us to catch weekend motorists and workers coming north on I-91. We'll have a huge banner and bring along your large signs, banners, American flags; also sun protection (we'll be facing south) and water. We do overpass rallies on the fourth Friday of every month in conjunction with other Indivisible groups to our south (Brattleboro and Mass.) and north (St Johnsbury), which means we've got I-91 well-covered. This rally is sponsored by Defend Democracy Indivisible-Corinth/Topsham VT and Orange East Third Act (Newbury, VT). A core principle behind all Indivisible events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
