DINNER WITHOUT BORDERS: A Cross-Diaspora Community Dinner & Celebration As part of our 12th Annual Reclaim MLK’s Radical Legacy – Two Weeks of Action, we’re coming together across borders, cultures, and movements to build people power and collective care in the face of fascism. 🗓 Saturday, January 24 🕕 6:00–9:00 PM 📍 Oakland Peace Center 111 Fairmount Ave #504, Oakland 🎟 FREE EVENT This gathering is hosted by the Bay Area Black Migrant Solidarity Group, whose organizational members include: Black Alliance for Just Immigration, Partnerships for Trauma Recovery, Priority Africa Network, Anti Police-Terror Project, Bay Area Resource for Newcomers, African Advocacy Network, and the Contra Costa Immigrant Rights Alliance. We are organizing this dinner in partnership with: Bay Area Solidarity Summer, Alliance of South Asians Taking Action, CA Poor People’s Campaign, Palestinian Feminist Collective, Communities Upward, Nodutdol, Haiti Action Committee, Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project, Human Agenda, and Communities United for Restorative Youth Justice, among others. ✨ Together, we’ll create space for: Letter writing to Bay Area community members currently in detention Cultural performances and speakers A ceremonial coffee exchange A flowers and affirmations station This is about food, culture, resistance, and solidarity.
