ICE OUT FOR GOOD - Lacey / Olympia Washington
Northwest Indivisible is organizing a sign wave and bannering for the Lacey / Olympia area on Saturday, January 17th, from 11am to 1pm. We are outraged at the murder in Minneapolis and the many many other shootings over the last six months by the ICE thugs. We need them out of our cities for good. We hope with frequent public pressure we can help our politicians begin to really fight back.
All signs are of course welcome. But the theme is pushing back on having ICE in our communities. We will have a sign making booth setup but depending on the turn out we most likely can’t provide everyone their own sign. If you have something to make some noise that is of course also welcome.
We are going to have paper petitions you may optionally sign to encourage our politicians to do the right thing. We are also looking at other activities.
We plan to give a short 15-to-20-minute class on non-violent civil resistance. We may need to confront ICE, or the National Guard, to protect our neighbors, our schools, and/or parts of our election system. What a year this will be!!
