Nebraska Palestinian Rights Task Force

Protest For Palestine

"Do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories-until Palestine is free." Hossam Shabat šŸ“¢ New schedule: All out for Gaza! Show up for our biweekly Wednesday protests at 72nd and Dodge St. Let's be loud. Let's be heard. Until liberation! šŸ‰ BiWeekly protests unless stated otherwise in our stories. Our Wednesday protests are family-friendly. We stand opposed to Islamophobia, anti-semitisim, racism, homophobia, and other forms of hate. We take care of ourselves and each other. We also understand that we are human and make mistakes, so we hold room for personal growth & personal accountability. Protect fellow protesters' privacy. Ask for permission before taking photos of protesters' faces. Do not talk to police. If they show up, direct them to one of the organizers. If police try to talk to you, simply tell them you are exercising your right to remain silent. Do not engage with counter protesters, either by talking to them or giving them the finger. It's stressful when people react hatefully to our message. If you find that you are losing your cool, it's okay to take a step back and catch your breath for a moment. Find ways to decompress when you return home, whether that's by meditating, dancing, journaling, or talking to a friend. This is a long-term fight, and you need to take care of yourself. If you have questions, need help, or have a medical concern, please find someone in a yellow vest. For your safety, don't stay behind alone after the protest ends.
