To all who came to the Whittier No Kings/Kick Out the Clowns Parade No Kings Parade on June 14th, and those who helped organize the Good Trouble Lives On rally on July 17th. Thank you for showing up and speaking out! I’m excited to continue organizing and advocating against Trump’s authoritarian policies and tactics, and to keep fighting for our democracy. Together, we sent a clear message to the City: we will not accept dictatorship, military force in our streets, or ICE terrorizing our communities. And we did it boldly, peacefully, and with a spirit of positivity. Thank you all. The response to the event was overwhelmingly positive. It was organized by Whittier Indivisible and the Truth and Democracy Coalition, and we’re now building a leadership team here in Whittier. The No King Action Team will continue to organize, educate, and welcome everyone to get involved. The Truth and Democracy Coalition is working to expand and strengthen this movement — and we’re doing it right here in Whittier.
