2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the 2001 United Nations World Conference Against Racism, held in Durban, South Africa. African people came together and transformed regional struggles for reparations into a global Pan-African movement, resulting in the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, which declared the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade a crime against humanity. Experts from across the world will speak about the importance of centering Durban in our national efforts to build a global strategy to hold the West accountable.
