🥫 EAST SIDE FOOD DRIVE 🥫 🥖 Yesterday, PSL San Antonio fed over 75 families with a limitless supply of household necessities. Despite a 4PM start time, neighbors began showing up to help and receive food as early as 11AM, emphasizing the capitalist pressure our community is under with SNAP benefits delayed, and prices making it harder and harder for working class families to put food on the table. 🍎 Between the generous donations of our community, and unbelievable support from @50501.satx , we distributed over 2500 pounds of food to the historic east side. This area is among the top 10 neighborhoods undergoing the fastest gentrification in the country, making PSL's @sanantonioliberationcenter an ever important hub for San Antonians. 🥣 Sunday, November 23rd PSL will be distributing hot meals to continue to meet the need of our community.
