Farming While Black Virtual Screening
🌱✨ Join us for a virtual screening of Farming While Black on September 21st at 1pm.
This film uplifts the legacy of Black farmers & land stewards who have carried our people through collapse for generations from Soul Fire Farm to ancestral practices that heal land and community. Farming isn’t just about food, it’s about survival, liberation, and building beyond the systems designed to fail us.
This gathering lives inside the Harriet’s Hands Skill Share Collective, our abolitionist effort to prepare for systems collapse by equipping Black and marginalized communities with skills to sustain ourselves. Gardening and food preservation are not hobbies; they’re strategies of resistance that break our dependency on systems that are already failing, by turning back to ancestral knowledge that’s always sustained us.
After the screening, we’ll hold space to talk about mutual aid, land, survival, and how Black farming traditions give us real strategies to live beyond collapse.
Let’s plant seeds for self-determination together ✊🏾
