MENTAL HEALTH FIRST: COMMUNITY CRISIS TRAINING

Healing is resistance. Care is strategy. As part of our Two Weeks of Action to Reclaim the Radical Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are hosting a Mental Health First: Community Crisis Training — a virtual training grounded in collective care, de-escalation, and non-police crisis response. šŸ“… Saturday & Sunday | January 24–25, 2026 ā° 12:00–4:00 PM (both days) šŸ“ Virtual via Zoom This training will equip community members with practical tools for crisis intervention, de-escalation, and promoting wellness, rooted in the belief that our people deserve care, dignity, and support — not punishment or policing. Dr. King envisioned a world where communities take responsibility for one another. MH First brings that vision into practice by building skills that keep our people safe without calling the police. This is for: • Organizers and movement workers • Caregivers and healers • Neighbors looking to show up for their communities • Anyone committed to real safety through community care šŸ“² Scan the QR code on the flyer or register now: āž”ļø bit.ly/Reclaim-MH2026 Reclaim MLK.
