General Body Meeting (In-Person)
Jewish Voice for Peace New Orleans
Generations of Jewish ancestors entreat us to retell the Passover story each year, to imagine the story actually happening — to imagine ourselves as the protagonists, as if we are the ones who now must find the courage to leave the narrow place behind.
We cherish Passover because it is meant to fortify us to keep going, to keep us from becoming complacent and numb to injustice. Over and over, we break what needs to be broken.
For many Jews today, the narrow place is that ever shrinking gap between Zionism and despair. We know that a better world is possible, and we know this because we are a part of the movements that are helping to make that world a reality; we invite you to join us there.
If you’re looking for a political home for Jews on the left, if you’re longing for Jewish community that uplifts the cause of justice as its center, if you’re yearning to turn your RAGE and GRIEF into meaningful, strategic action: join JVP. You belong here. Learn more at jvp.org
