Crash Course on Facilitating Decision-Making

AORTA

Ready to build and move more decisively in your organizing and movement groups? Join AORTA and our co-hosts: About Face: Veterans Against the War, Climate Justice Alliance, No Tech for Apartheid, and Freedom Side School for a Crash Course on Facilitating Decision-Making. Also, check the end of the caption for a special announcement!⁣ All across the country, groups of neighbors, comrades, families, volunteers, and organizers are coming together to resist rising authoritarianism. When we gather, we make joint decisions that have the potential to significantly impact the trajectory of our campaigns, and ability to build and sustain power for our movements. How do we move swiftly yet make collective decisions? When decision making processes are facilitated in commitment to deep democratization, collective governance, and the practice of principled struggle, our formations are more ready to take bolder and more effective action. ⁣ We'll offer concrete approaches and immediately applicable tools on guiding groups through decision making. This training will be run webinar style and includes:⁣ 🌀a tried and tested framework for how making decisions in a group, especially when moving quickly or doing rapid response work;⁣ 🌀 strategies to support deeper power sharing with members without bogging down the process;⁣ 🌀 tools for narrowing down options to make a decision; and⁣ 🌀 ideas for supporting and cultivating principled disagreement in groups.⁣ PLUS: All registered participants of the Crash Course will receive advanced access to AORTA's newest zine on democratic decision-making!⁣ Journey to the biosphere to find out more and how to join us on Feb. 24th.
